MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY

A trained graphic designer with a B.S. from Ohio University who tends toward classic design with a touch of whimsy. Currently, the Creative Director at Wesleyan College, the oldest college chartered to grant degrees to women. I have spent my professional life doing agency work, all-inclusive design from print to digital, illustrations, and freelance.

Nothing gives me more satisfaction than creating. I believe beauty resides where imperfection lives... and always points to where the truth lies. I find inspiration in nature, connections, and underdogs. Growth and overcoming obstacles are often themes running through my thoughts. Love and grace are my two favorite words and green is my favorite color unless we are talking eyes... then blue, because two boys I love the most have their father's eyes.

In the year 2020, my New Year's resolution was to make a concerted effort to invest my free time towards painting. Learning by doing was the thought. I created an Instagram account to make myself accountable. I was not doing great with my resolution until time slowed to a permanent state of present as a pandemic traveled at unknown rates. Nervous energy was redirected towards what I could control, what I could enjoy... creating and learning a new way of expressing myself. I started painting flowers for no other reason than they made me happy. Sensing the world needed more positive energy I began my daily prayers with strokes of a brush back and forth.
